Selim's tasting notes

Nose: Minerals, ashy, roasted almonds, coffee beans, hint of caramel.

Palate: Dark roasted Arabica coffee, earthy, orange marmalade, smoky resins.

Finish: Black tea with lemon, roasted, caramelised cane sugar and citrus.

About this Chapter 7 whisky

Knockdhu distillery malts are released under the AnCnoc brand. This is the first time Chapter 7 has released a Knockdhu single cask release, and this is indeed a very special cask. Peat is prominent in the first 10-12 years of a malt's life. It then evolves into rustic notes as it ages and retires into the background. This cask is a great example of evolved peat.
