Born in Scotland, and educated in England, artist Heather McAlpine, traces her earliest art influences back to books about classical form, and a range of diverse works of various American abstract expressionists. She focuses on exploring the process of painting through her use of atmospheric colors and painterly marks, which serve as metaphors for energy, movement and growth. Heather's work has been featured in collections, galleries, and exhibitions all over the world.
