Svensk Ek Tasting Notes

Nose: Fruity with citrus, pear, apple and honey. A light oakiness with sweet, lightly toasted bread notes and fresh butter toffee.

Palate: A spicy character with notes of sandalwood, dried ginger, black pepper, roasted oak barrel and herbs to our whisky. Fruity and smooth with citrus, caramel and honey. A light oakiness can be found towards the end.

Finish: Well balanced with hints of dark chocolate.

About this Mackmyra whisky

Mackmyra's flagship Swedish whisky is created using 100% Swedish ingredients. The casks are coopered from Swedish oak to create a more firm and spicy flavour. The casks are smaller than Scotch barrels, to help extract more flavour into the whisky. Svensk Ek has a spicy character with notes of sandalwood, dried ginger, black pepper, roasted oak barrel and herbs.
